South African Airways To Relaunch

South African Airways (SAA) is about to resume service, which was suspended more than a year ago. Due to be launched on Thursday, the airline will resume service by offering flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town, Accra, Kinshasa, Harare, Lusaka, and Maputo.
As of March 2020, SAA has not flown any commercial flights or conducted any cargo or repatriation flights. Since the beginning of the flu pandemic in March of 2020, the airline has not conducted any commercial flights. The airline continued to fly cargo and repatriation flights, however the airline had to halt all operations owing to financial concerns from that point until September 2020.
It took SAA 17 months to emerge from administration, before it was purchased by Takatso Consortium, who acquired the majority interest from the South African government in June.
